🏛 How To Join the Amesbury Tenant Union

The Amesbury Tenant Union belongs to tenants — not landlords, not city officials, not outside agencies.

We are stronger together. We welcome any tenant who’s ready to stand up and protect themselves and their neighbors.

🤝 Who Can Join

• Current tenants in Amesbury or surrounding towns
• Renters in apartments, multi-family homes, mobile homes, or Section 8 / voucher housing
• Seniors, families, individuals — anyone who rents and wants to protect their housing
• Undocumented tenants — your safety matters here
• Organizers, volunteers, researchers, and community members who want to support tenant power

• Attend union meetings when possible
• Report landlord violations, unsafe conditions, or retaliation
• Participate in campaigns when called upon
• Protect confidentiality of other members
• Follow security protocols for communications and evidence
• Support your neighbors — no one fights alone here

📞 How To Apply

• Fill out the membership form (linked below)
• An organizer will contact you to schedule an onboarding meeting
• You’ll receive tech setup assistance for secure union communication (Signal, ProtonMail, Bitwarden, etc.)
• Once onboarded, you’ll be added to union communications & given access to internal resources
