๐ How To Join the Amesbury Tenant Union
The Amesbury Tenant Union belongs to tenants โ not landlords, not city officials, not outside agencies.
We are stronger together. We welcome any tenant whoโs ready to stand up and protect themselves and their neighbors.
๐ค Who Can Join
- Current tenants in Amesbury or surrounding towns
- Renters in apartments, multi-family homes, mobile homes, or Section 8 / voucher housing
- Seniors, families, individuals โ anyone who rents and wants to protect their housing
- Undocumented tenants โ your safety matters here
- Organizers, volunteers, researchers, and community members who want to support tenant power

- Attend union meetings when possible
- Report landlord violations, unsafe conditions, or retaliation
- Participate in campaigns when called upon
- Protect confidentiality of other members
- Follow security protocols for communications and evidence
- Support your neighbors โ no one fights alone here
๐ How To Apply
- Fill out the membership form (linked below)
- An organizer will contact you to schedule an onboarding meeting
- Youโll receive tech setup assistance for secure union communication (Signal, ProtonMail, Bitwarden, etc.)
- Once onboarded, youโll be added to union communications & given access to internal resources
